Lizaan Archer

Lizaan Archer (BPharm) is a registered South African pharmacist and the founder and co-owner of MedisyneTas. She personally curates every home medicine box, Easy-Go bag and medicine guide the shop sells, drawing on nearly a decade of pharmaceutical experience.

Lizaan founded MedisyneTas during her pharmacy studies at North West University, when a close friend — living on a farm 210km from the nearest medical facility — was expecting her first baby. Lizaan curated a personalised medicine box for mother and newborn, and watched it turn midnight fevers from emergencies into manageable moments.

Today, with years of experience in community pharmacy, Lizaan lives that story herself: raising her own family on a farm deep in the Kalahari, a registered pharmacist (SAPC No. P54766) with the South African Pharmacy Council. She still personally curates every box MedisyneTas sells — because she packs for her customers the way she packs for her own children.

Estelle Steenkamp

BPharm, North-West University (2017)

Estelle Steenkamp is a registered South African community pharmacist and co-owner of MedisyneTas. Based on a Northern Cape farm, she combines six-plus years of patient-facing pharmacy practice with the rural life MedisyneTas customers know first-hand.

Estelle is a community pharmacist based on a farm in the Karoo, where the nearest town is a long drive away and being prepared isn't optional. A registered pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC No. P48911), she's spent over six years behind the counter at her local pharmacy in Calvinia — dispensing, counselling patients, and running clinic screenings — alongside pharmacy project work with national bodies including the SAPC and the International Pharmaceutical Federation, and further training in pharmacy regulatory affairs.

At MedisyneTas, Estelle brings that day-to-day patient experience to every first-aid and medicine kit: she knows exactly what rural families reach for, because she's one of them.

MedisyneTas is owned and operated by two pharmacists registered with the South African Pharmacy Council: Lizaan Archer (BPharm, North West University, SAPC No. P54766) and Estelle Steenkamp (BPharm, North-West University, SAPC No. P48911).
